Adjusting Run Schedules

I know it is near impossible for me to train outdoors in the winters here.  The lungs do.not.like.cold.  I prefer to NOT run on the dreadmill for up to 3 or more hours…..If I do end up doing the 2016 Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend out at Disneyland, it may very well be a one and one for me.  Unless we move to a less cold place.  The *smarter* thing for me to do is load up the fall with my events so I can use spring and summer to train.  This may be perfect!  And I will not do all of the ones listed.  Here’s an example of what 2015 could end up looking like:

Jan – WDW Marathon Weekend.  Going Goofy!  Disney Cruise Line Castaway Cay 5K Challenge

Feb – WDW Princess 10K

March – volunteer again at Rock and Roll DC

April – Iron Girl Half (but it’s always a week prior to MiniIndy or Frederick)

May – MiniIndy (already signed up and room booked!), Run For The Dream (Williamsburg, VA), Zooma Annapolis

June – Marine Corps Run Amuck, The Nude Run 5K (not sure yet if it will happen in 2015), Baltimore 10 Miler

July – Rock and Roll Chicago

August – Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend/Dumbo Double Dare, Zooma Chicago

September – Navy and Air Force Half Marathon, Divas Half Marathon, Rock and Roll Virginia Beach

October – Baltimore Running Fest, Marine Corps Marathon (already signed up due to 2014 transfer!), Wilson Bridge Half, Army 10 Miler

November – Battlefield Half, Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon, Richmond Half Marathon, Annapolis Half

December – Surf n Santa Virginia Beach, Celtic Solstice (Baltimore)

So a lot of local races and I still get my Disney in!!  So who knows how it will actually end up.  But I got 2 in the books already 🙂
